The South Carolina State Fair recently implemented BellCommander for audio scheduling with great results. The Fair ran from October 11th to October 22nd, 2006 with a large number of "bells" for the National Anthem, sponsorship announcements, entertainment schedules, and special tributes (military, senior citizen, exceptional citizen, grandparent day, etc...). The Fair implemented 12 different daily schedules in BellCommander, including schedules with up to 200 "bells". Cal Hodges, Superintendent of Guest Services, reported that BellCommander "performed flawlessly" and that management and sponsors were pleased.
When the South Carolina State Fair implemented BellCommander, each bell was entered into BellCommander individually; however, several of the events at the South Carolina State Fair occurred at regular intervals, for example, hourly or every 15 minutes. From suggestions from the Fair, BellCommander 3 includes a new feature to "add bells at an interval", which allows multiple bells at a regular interval to be added in a single step. BellCommander 3 was offered as a free upgrade for the South Carolina State Fair.
BellCommander is used by hundreds of customers around the world for school bells, factory bells, store announcements, and more. BellCommander features an advanced audio scheduler and the ability to play audio from the sound card or across a network to other PCs or network audio players. The application is very affordable and starts at $79.95 for the Sound Card configuration that was implemented by the South Carolina State Fair.
