Send scheduled pages for school bells, announcements, and more to phone-based paging systems using a SIP to FXO analog gateway
Description:
As an updated alternative to the fully analog phone paging options, we now recommend a hybrid SIP to analog integration due the limited availability of fully analog telephony devices and drivers for Windows 11 and Windows Server. This configuration also allows for BellCommander to run in a different location than the phone system and it will run on virtual servers. With the hybrid integration, the BellCommander SIP/Multicast software is used and it can register to a SIP server and call to a SIP FXO/FXS gateway that is registered as a SIP extension to the same server. For the SIP server, any SIP/2.0 compliant SIP server can be used, including 3CX, MicroSIP, FreePBX, and other software-based SIP servers or the Grandstream UCM SIP appliances.
Configuration Guide:
We have a configuration guide with an example of using the Grandstream HT-813 FXO adapter and the free 5 phone Windows MiniSIPServer software.
Pricing:
The BellCommander SIP/Multicast software would be needed, which is priced based on the number of zones. In this scenario, this would be the number of extensions/codes pages through the FXO gateway.
